Connecting Veterans to What Matters

Who We Are

The Alabama Veterans Resource Center Foundation (AVRC) was created with one purpose: to make Alabama the best place in the nation for veterans to live, work, and thrive. We are a statewide hub dedicated to connecting veterans and their families with the resources they’ve earned – from career opportunities and education to healthcare, housing, and community support.

Built for

Veterans

Why We Exist

Across Alabama, veterans often face a patchwork of services that can be difficult to navigate. The AVRC brings those resources together in one place – both through a physical headquarters in Montgomery and a digital hub accessible across the state. Our goal is to simplify access, remove barriers, and ensure that no Alabama veteran is left behind.

Our Mission

To honor Alabama’s veterans by ensuring they have easy access to the tools, support, and opportunities needed to build strong and fulfilling lives after service.

Leadership

Greg Reed

The AVRC is led by a dedicated Board of Directors chaired by Greg Reed, former legislator and current Secretary of Workforce under Governor Kay Ivey. Under his leadership, and with the support of public, private, and nonprofit partners, the AVRC is committed to lasting impact for Alabama’s veteran community.
